Vaka Tautua is a national “by Pacific for Pacific” health and social service provider.

We were established in 2007 by the PIASS and Malologa Trusts and remain a not-for-profit limited liability company registered with the Charities Commission.

We currently hold certification from the DAA Group against Standard NZS 8134:2008 Health and Disability Services, and we hold Level Two Status as a provider for the Ministry of Social Development.

"New Mental Health Services start in the CCDHB"

July 1st saw the roll out of new mental health services in

Wellington as part of the Te Ara Pai stepping stones to

wellness model being implemented by the C&CDHB.

Vaka Tautua have been providing Pacific Mental Health

Navigation services as part of the new service model since

July 2013. 


In July Vaka Tautua joined the other six service providers

to let people know about the new services and how they

could access them. The day saw hundreds of people coming

through the information sessions that were held at the

Wellington hospital with a special session being broadcast

to an audience at the Keneperu campus.


The new services include:
Occupation – provided by Workwise
Peer Zone and the Concrete Jungle – Personal Connections Skills for life – provided by Wellink/Richmond
Family/Whänau – provided by Atareira
Health and Wellbeing – provided by Pathways
