Board Member Appointed to District Health Board
Vaka Tautua Board Member, Dr. Lana Perese, has been appointed to the Board of Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB) by Health Minister, Dr. David Clark. She joins former Vaka Tautua Chief Executive Officer, Vui Mark Gosche, who has been reappointed as Chair.
In a press release today, David Clark said he was delighted with the calibre of people that had agreed to take on the board roles.
“District Health Boards play a vital role delivering health care to New Zealanders. It’s critical that they are well led, and well governed,” David Clark said.
“DHB board governance is not an easy job. It requires leadership, focus, a strong skillset and a commitment to delivering high quality care for all New Zealanders,” David Clark said.
“Boards also need to reflect the communities they serve."
Lana Perese has been a Director of Vaka Tautua for four years and is also a trustee of Malologa Trust. She is Auckland Manager for Malatest International, and holds a Doctorate in Behavioural Science from The University of Auckland.
