Awhi Ora – Supporting Wellbeing

Awhi Ora – Supporting Wellbeing aims to support Pacific peoples who are experiencing personal challenges and finding it difficult to perform day-to-day tasks or to reach their desired goals. The service involves individual and/or group-based support, brief interventions; and information and support to access community resources and services.

How to access this service

  • Access to this service is by introduction from a GP and social services providers. We also accept requests from a person or family member (self and community-referrals), however these numbers are limited.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for this service, a person must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older

  • Registered to a PHO within the Auckland DHB area, and

  • Have an unmet on-going support need related to a mental health concern and be eligible for publicly, and funded health services in Aotearoa New Zealand.
