Pacific Mental Health Package of Care (Non-Clinical Support)
Our Pacific mental health package of care is about providing non-clinical, cultural support and social support services to our Pacific peoples experiencing low to moderate mental health illness (service users) who are accessing primary mental health services. The service involves working along-side the clinical team, individual and/or group-based support, brief interventions, and information and support to access community resources and services.
How to access this service
Access to this service is by referral from Auckland DHB’s mental health clinical teams.
Eligibility criteria
To be referred to this service, a person must:
Be 18 years of age or older
Live within the ADHB catchment area
Have limited community and family support to help meet his or her needs
Have previously used mental health services but they were not effective or satisfactory
Have an unmet on-going support need related to a mental health concern and be eligible for publicly funded health services in Aotearoa New Zealand.
