The Tōfā Mamao: Valuing lived experience project aims to support our Pacific peoples with disabilities, their families and caregivers to be more socially connected, engaged and to have a “voice.” It involves:

  • A website with information on disability, disability providers and services; with interactive discussion forums. www.tofamamao.com, and

  • social networking hubs for peoples with disabilities, their families and caregivers to come together to socialise, connect, share and advocate on key issues that are important to them (Auckland LIVE; Wellington and Christchurch from 2021).
