Staff continue to upskill at Vaka Tautua
Vaka Tautua Navigator, Willie Te’o, finished his year on a high last year having graduated with a Level Four Mental Health Certificate.
Willie started studying for his certificate in February 2014 and graduated in November. Whilst also working at Vaka Tautua, Willie managed his workload and studies with diligence.
“I wasn’t too keen to go on it (the course) at first, but once I started I enjoyed the whole ‘going back to school’ experience and meeting new people” says Willie.
“I already knew half the class, which helped. It was also good to share eachothers success stories and also barriers that we face from day to day.”
“I’m grateful to have had the support of Vaka Tautua throughout my journey studying and to have Regional Manager, Kristina Sofele there to share my achievement with on Graduation Day.”
Vaka Tautua would like to congratulate Willie on this major achievement and are very proud of staff who continue to upskill their learning. Malo lava le taumafai, Willie!
