Whānau Resilience aims to create strong, resilient communities where whānau are supported to live violence free and to eliminate violence for the next generation.

People experiencing and using violence often need help at different times in their lives. Whānau Resilience offers long-term support when people need it.

Who can access

Auckland Central and South Auckland: Families are referred to the service by one of our partners. We also accept self-referrals.

Canterbury: Families are referred to the service by Waitaha/Canterbury Whānau Resilience collective. We also accept referrals from external providers or self-referrals.

  • Strengthen social capability and community connection

  • Develop long-term behavioural change for men and people using violence

  • Address trauma healing and recovery from violence

  • Learn to create healthy relationships
