Roberd Silva is a Community Support Worker in our Ola Fiafia Mental Health team for the Wellington region.

Prior to joining Vaka Tautua in January 2023, Roberd worked for several years as a Support Worker for Access Community Health. He came to Vaka Tautua after completing our Tupe Wise financial capability programme in 2022, which inspired him to find a role supporting Pacific people to improve their lives.

A fluent Samoan speaker and community leader, Roberd migrated to New Zealand from Samoa in the nineties, settling in Tawa area. His skills, experience, and passion will be invaluable for his role with Vaka Tautua.

As a busy father of four, when he is not at work Roberd focuses on spending quality time with his family, going to the beach, and reading his Bible.
