Sela Fotu

Sela Fotu is Vaka Tautua’s Financial Accountant and Analyst Lead in the Business Team based in Auckland.

Appointed to her role in October 2022, Sela joined Vaka Tautua following several years as an Accountant for the Museum of Transport and Technology.

She is a provisional member of CAANZ while studying towards her Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting, and has more than two decades’ experience working in the financial sector in Aotearoa and Tonga.

Sela loves Accounting and is passionate about using her skills to support the good work Vaka Tautua does to serve our Pacific communities.

Born and raised in Malapo, Tongatapu, Sela moved to New Zealand in 2005. She is the mother of three active and energetic boys, and acts as parent support for their sporting and cultural groups.

In her spare time, Sela is a Sunday School Teacher and volunteers for her Tongan Methodist Church community in a variety of roles.
