Tala Vaea

Tala is a Community Support Worker in our Ola Fiafia Mental Health team based in Mt Albert, Auckland.

Tala joined Vaka Tautua in December 2023 having previously worked as a Housing Navigator with Penina trust and owning his own Barber Shop.

Tala uses his barber skills and talanoa to support and lift Pacific peoples. He comes from a strength-based approach using manaakitanga as a guiding principal to build an individuals mana.

He enjoys working with people, and being able to talanoa while providing mentorship.
