Theresa Faleatua-Taumaoe is a Financial Capability Coach for our Tupe Wise services in Otago.

Theresa joined Vaka Tautua in April 2022, having previously worked as a healthcare assistant for almost seven years and a Learning Assistant and a Support Worker for Mt Cargill Trust. She has also completed a Bachelor of Social Services, a level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing and a Diploma in Adult Teaching Education. 

She also has a work history in assisting previous clients in preparing for interviews and empowering them with their career pathways. Theresa’s hands-on experience with financial capability programmes is a great attribute for her role at Vaka Tautua.

In Theresa’s spare time, she loves going for a walk or spending quality time with her children as well with her church family. As a proud Samoan lady, she is happy for the opportunity to serve Pasifika people and use her skills to empower Pasifika people to develop and improve their financial capability and make their dreams come true.
