Vitinia Waqairatu is the Team Leader for our Tagata Sa’ilimalo Disability Services in the Auckland region.

Vitinia joined Vaka Tautua in May 2021 as a Disability Coordinator, and was appointed Team Leader in September 2022. She brings more than 30 years’ experience in the community, older peoples and disability sectors to the organisation. Prior to joining Vaka Tautua, she was Community Services Coordinator at K’aute Pasifika. Previous roles include Administrator at the Hamilton East Methodist Parish and the University of Waikato.

Vitinia and her family moved to New Zealand from Fiji in 2001. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting friends from church and the community, spending time with family, and listening to music and singing.
