Our Roots of Compassion
Vaka Tautua was born in 2007 from the union of two pioneering Pacific service providers in Auckland: PIASS Trust and Malologa Trust. This merger combined expertise in disability, elder care, and mental health services, creating a powerful force dedicated to the holistic wellbeing of Pacific communities.

From our humble beginnings in Auckland, Vaka Tautua has blossomed into a nationwide haven of support for our Pacific communities. Our voyage has taken us to the shores of Wellington, Canterbury, and now Otago, allowing us to embrace more of our ’aiga (family) across Aotearoa.
