People for Us

Auckland–wide region: Counties Manukau, Waitemata, & Auckland

Our Pacific Peer Workers have lived experience of disability, bring deep understanding, cultural insight, and empathy to their role. Their personal journeys equip them to connect meaningfully with other disabled people, offering encouragement, guidance, and support that is grounded in shared experience. Their unique perspective helps uplift others, build trust, and navigate challenges together with dignity and hope.

They talanoa and support adult disabled people to ensure they are safe, free from harm and abuse and living their good life. They will reach in and visit disabled people in their home to get to know them, understand their experience and then ensure they are linked into appropriate pathways if issues relating to harm abuse or living good lives are found.
